Juan Pedro Betanzos (Guitarra acústica/Acoustic guitar)

Adquiere una formación elemental en música tras un breve paso de dos años por el Conservatorio de Jerez, que compagina con el xilófono contralto y el bajo eléctrico. Al iniciar en Sevilla sus estudios de Psicología contacta con otros músicos tradicionales más experimentados de quienes empieza realmente a aprender los acentos y ritmos de la música tracicional irlandesa.

Desde 1995 toca en dos grupos: La Compañía Atlántica y Busking no More (junto a varios miembros de los actuales Llonxana). Actualmente apoya como guitarrista a los grupos Single Malt, Llonxana y Stolen Notes (antiguos Whiskey Rivers). Sus principales influencias proceden de Micheal O´Domhnaill (Nightnoise) y John Doyle (Solas) y entre sus grupos favoritos se encuentran Solas, Silly Wizard, Patrick Street, Bothy Band, Planxty, Siúcra, Capercaillie, Altan, Dervish, Llan de Cuvel o Felpeyu (entre otros).

He acquired an elemental formation after a short two-year period at the Jerez´s School of Music, which he put together with contralto xylophone and electric bass. Having started his Psychology degree in Seville, he contacts with more experimented musicians who teach him the proper swing and rhythms of the trad irish music.

Since 1995, he plays in two bands: "La Compañia Atlántica" and "Busking no More" (where he joins various Llonxana members). Nowadays, he supports also "Single Malt" (an irish music band settled down in Cadiz) "Llonxana" and "Stolen notes" (formerly Whiskey Rivers) as a guitar player. His main influencial guitarists are Micheal O'Domhnaill (Nightnoise) and John Doyle (Solas) and his favourite bands are Solas, Silly Wizard, Patrick Street, Bothy Band, Planxty, Siúcra, Capercaillie, Altan, Dervish, Llan de Cubel or Felpeyu (among others).
